In April Ukraine’s crude steel production will reach 2.88 million tons, up by 16.9% compared to February.
Pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.460 million tons in April, up by 13.2%, while production of rolled steel in the month is expected to be 2.580 million tons, up by 17.5% compared to February.
In the first two months of the current year Ukraine registered a 10% decrease in its finished steel product output to 4.745 million tons, a 5% decrease in its crude steel output to 5.283 million tons and a 1% YoY rise in its pig iron production to 4.647 million tons.
In February alone Ukraine produced 2.464 million tons of crude steel, down by 12.6%, 2.174 million tons of pig iron, down by 12%, and 2.195 million tons of rolled steel, down by 13.96% MoM. (SteelOrbis)
