Ukrainian metal companies plan to reduce steel smelting by 1.1% in February 2012 compared to the targets for January to 2.79 million tons, and rolled steel production by 0.4%, to 2.5 million tons.
The target for February also foresees a fall in cast iron production by 0.8%, to 2.35 million tons.
Average daily cast iron production in February is planned at 81,000 tons, that for steel – 96,200 tons and rolled steel – 86,200 tons. (Ukrainian Journal)
