In February 2012 Ukrainian crude steel production will rise by 1.1% compared to December 2011 to 2.790 million tos.
Pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.350 million tons in February, down by 1.01% compared to December, while production of rolled steel is expected to be 2.5 million tons, down by 1.96% compared to December.
In 2011 Ukraine registered a 3% growth in its finished steel product output to 31.677 million tons, a 6% increase in its crude steel output to 34.689 million tons and a 6% rise in its pig iron production to 28.879 million tons all compared to 2010.
In December 2011 Ukraine produced 2.550 million tons of finished steel products, down by 3.1% MoM, 2.759 million tons of crude steel, down by 4.1% MoM and 2.374 million tons of pig iron, down by 1.9% MoM.
In January 2012 Ukraine expects to produce 2.510 million tons of finished steel products, 2.820 million tons of crude steel and 2.370 million tons of pig iron. (SteelOrbis)
