In May Ukraine’s crude steel output totaled 3.009 million tons, up by 0.5% or 14,000 tons as compared to April. In addition, Ukrainian output of pig iron in the given month increased by 0.5% to 2.426 million tons as compared to April.
In the January to May period of the current year Ukrainian crude steel production reached 14.641 million tons, marking an increase of 5.8% YoY. In the given period Ukraine saw a 1% YoY increase in its pig iron production to 11.969 million tons. (SteelOrbis)
