According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in May the average daily output of steel from Ukrainian metallurgical companies declined to the levels seen in February.
In May Ukraine’s average daily output of pig iron decreased by 2.6% compared to April to 87,300 tons, production of crude steel declined by 3% MoM to 97,300 tons, though average daily output of rolled steel increased by 0.1% MoM to 89,500 tons.
In January to May crude steel output in Ukraine increased by 6% YoY climbing to 14.691 million tons, pig iron production went up by 1% to 11.969 million tons and rolled steel output increased by 6% to 13.722 million tons. (SteelOrbis)
