The Verkhovnaya Rada of Ukraine has prolonged the scrap export duty of 30 euro per ton till September 15, 2018.
The bill No. 6382 has been supported by 247 people’s deputies with the minimum required number of 226.
According to the bill note, its goal is to regulate scrap export and decrease scrap shortage on the local market.
The bill also stabilizes the situation in the metal industry, provides for the creation of new jobs, increases budget revenue and creates higher added value on local market. (Ukrainian metal)
