Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe entered the top ten largest exporters of the country last year and topped the rating of exporters of high-value-added products. This is evidenced by the rating published by NV.
According to the rating, last year the company sold products on foreign markets for a total amount of about UAH 30 billion. Interpipe’s total revenue for this period reached UAH 39.6 billion.
The company noted that it was possible to achieve such results despite the difficult working conditions during a full-scale war. Among the main challenges are the shelling of energy infrastructure, the associated electricity shortage, high energy costs and labor shortages.
Interpipe emphasizes that the structure of Ukrainian exports has become increasingly commodity-based in recent years. According to the company’s estimates, about three-quarters of the total export volume is accounted for by so-called commodities – natural resources and agricultural products.
At the same time, the example of Interpipe, the company notes, demonstrates the potential for the production and export of technically complex and knowledge-intensive products, which are capable of ensuring the inflow of significant amounts of foreign exchange earnings into the Ukrainian economy.
