In January Ukraine mined 2.659 million tons of coal, down by 27.3% YoY.
According to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, power-generating coal output dropped by 31.9%, or by 984 thousand tons, to 2.1 million tons, and coking coal – by 2.95%, or by 16 thousand tons, to 559 thousand tons.
State mines decreased coal output by 14.13%, or by 66 thousand tons, to 401 thousand tons, including 341 thousand tons of power-generating coal and 60 thousand tons of coking coal.
DTEK Pavlogradugol in January decreased coal output by 3.87% YoY, to 1540 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
