In January-July, according to the customs statistics, Russia imported 345.1 thousand tons of polymer-coated steel, up by 34.3% YoY, and by 3.3% from 2015, but much lower than in the previous 5 years.

The main supplier was China (62%). The average price was $796.7 per ton. Deliveries went up by 85.4% YoY, and price – by 6.7%.

Kazakhstan supplied 11% of steel, at the price of $815.4 per ton, down by 0.3%, but up by 0.1% YoY respectively. South Korea delivered 10% of steel at $1244.7 per ton, up by 23% and by 12% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
