The Interdepartmental Commission for the Organization of the Conclusion and Implementation of Production Sharing Agreements (IWC PSA) is considering an application from a Ukrainian private company to announce tenders for the conclusion of PSAs at four uranium ore deposits in Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions.
The conclusion of uranium PSAs is initiated by LLC “Atomic Energy Systems of Ukraine” (AESU) from the investment group of companies BGV Group Management of Gennady Butkevych.
The AESU is focusing on four subsoil areas with uranium ore deposits:
– Safonivska area;
– Sadova Square;
– Severynske deposit;
– Pidhaitsivska deposit.
As the press service of BGV Group Management clarified, the AESU was initiating three competitions: for two PSAs at the Sadova and Safonivska deposits separately, and for the third PSA – at Severynske and Pidhaitsivska together.
The AESU addressed the Interdepartmental Commission with a letter regarding the initiation of PSA competitions at the end of November, and it was considered during the meeting of the PSA IMC on December 15, 2025 (on this day, the applications of the PSA competition participants at the Dobra lithium ore site were also revealed).
As of January, no decision had been made on the application, the press service of BGV Group Management and Gennady Butkevych himself reported: “They are not saying anything yet. The ball is in their court, and it has been for a long time.” (Nadra)
