In January-October, Ukraine increased ferrous scrap exports by 52.1% YoY, to 345.2 thousand tons.
According to the State Customs Service, this is 52 thousand tons more than in the whole last year.
The key export destination is Poland. Over 10 months, Poland imported 285.26 thousand tons, 75.4% of the total and 43.8% more than last year.
22.52 thousand tons were exported to Greece (+1.5%), 8.72 thousand tons to Bulgaria (0.01 thousand tons last year) and 4.41 thousand tons to Germany (-23.9%).
In October, Ukraine exported 33.36 thousand tons of scrap, up by 35.9% YoY and by 15.9% MoM.
Export revenue in October grew by 16% MoM and by 32.4% YoY, to $9.48 million tons, while in January-October – by 43.4%, to $103.05 million. (Ukrainian Metal)
