Kazakhmys Corporation continues to implement digital solutions as part of its strategy for digitalization and technological transformation of geological exploration. One of the key areas is improving the qualifications of employees and training them in modern tools.
Specialists from Zhezkazgan Tau-Ken Ondіrisi working at the Zhomart, Zapadny and Yuzhny mines are mastering the Micromine program. This software is used for designing and planning mining operations, as well as for creating 3D geological models. The training focuses on the use of the program in the geological and geophysical information system (GGIS) for calculating reserves.
In the future, Kazakhmys plans to use Micromine at all stages – from exploration to block modeling. This will digitalize the processes of building models and operational production planning. (MetalPortal)
