The ball-milling department of Kametstal rolling shop has successfully mastered the manufacture of milling balls of improved strength with the diameter of 100 mm, the critically important product for the stable operation of the mining and processing works.
Production began in 2023. To reach all the necessary parameters, the rollers modernized their machinery according to own designs. This allowed producing balls of the third strength group.
In 2025, the company decided to reach the fifth group.
The mechanical tests confirmed the correspondence of new balls to the state standards.
The first batch of around 500 tons has already been shipped to mining plants. (Ukrainian metal)
