At the end of 2024, Interpipe completed a major contract to supply 10,000 railroad wheels to the Indian state enterprise Indian Railways ahead of schedule.
The contract presupposed the delivery of wheels with the diameter of 1000 mm.
Logistics was a challenge. Most wheels were shipped via European seaports, while the last batches – from Ukrainian ports.
The crisis of shipping in the Red Sea resulted in the increase of transit times to India, as the new route lay around Africa. But all the wheels were delivered to the customer in time. (Ukrainian metal)
