For the past several months state mines have been exceeding coal output targets. Thus, since the start of the year, coal output has increased by 24% YoY, the Ministry of Energy reports.
While in March 2022, state mines yielded 173 thousand tons of coal and for a long time this figure had been decreasing, in January 2024, 178 thousand tons were extracted, in February – 197 thousand tons and in March – 221 thousand tons.
Average daily output also grew. While in September 2023, mines mostly extracted 4.1 thousand tons of coal per year, in March the result grew to 7.1 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
