In February, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 116 thousand tons of pig iron, down by 22% MoM.

The decrease was due to the Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure of the district.

At the same time, steel and rolled metal manufacture increased. Thus, AMKR produced 77 thousand tons of steel, up from 76 thousand tons in January, and 73 thousand tons of rolled metal, up from 72 thousand tons.

Moreover, the company increased iron ore concentrate output by 4% MoM, to 572 thousand tons, despite problems with energy supplies.

Compared with February 2023, AMKR increased iron ore concentrate manufacture by 35%, blast furnace coke – by 57%, pig iron – by 33%, steel – by 17% and rolled metal – by 16%. (Ukrainian metal)
