The United Mining and Chemical Company has lately concluded contracts to supply 80 thousand tons of ilmenite to end customers in the EU and agents in the USA.
According to the company’s post on Facebook, despite the risk of the wartime, last year it was able to sell more than 102 thousand tons. Scheduled sales in 2024 already amount to 200 thousand tons.
At present the company has no salary or electricity debts. It has also been able to attract some prepayments for its products from stable market players and open new ways to supply products to global market consumers.
In Q2, rutile and zircon could become regular and key components in raw materials portfolios of major processors in Italy, Spain and Germany.
At the same time, UMCC strategic partners for ilmenite concentrate are US and Czech companies.
“We are also opening export doors for the Irshansk GOK ilmenite to one of the largest end consumers of the North America,” the company said. (Ukrainian metal)
