Ukraine: Donetsk region mine out of energy due to shelling

Due to military activities, substation equipment in Donetsk region was shut down resulting in the loss of power to almost 8 thousand household consumers and a mine. According to the Ministry of Energy, there were 5 miners underground during the shelling. The mine is being supplied with energy via a generator. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Oktyabr Railroad non-ferrous metals transportation down in January-February 2024

In January-February, Oktyabr Railroad (the oldest railroad in Russia, connecting St. Petersburg with Moscow) transported 185.4 thousand TEU, up 1.8-fold YoY. In particular, transportation of non-ferrous metals decreased by 12.8%, to 1 thousand TEU. At the same time, transportation of ferrous metal grew by 10%, to 430 containers. (Ukrainian metal)

Poland: court revokes environmental permit for Turow coalmine
