In January-September, Ukraine increased scrap procurement by 5.8% YoY, to 878 thousand tons.
According to the UAVtormet association, exports grew 3.7-fold, to 131.1 thousand tons. Imports decreased 2-fold, to 0.8 thousand tons.
Domestic deliveries of scrap to metal plants dropped by 7%, to 703 thousand tons.
As of early October, scrap stocks amounted to 25-30 thousand tons.
This year, scrap procurement in Ukraine is expected to reach 1.25-1.3 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
