In June, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 378 thousand tons of ferrous metals for export, down by 19.9% MoM, but up by 18.1% YoY.

In June 2021, 1.24 million tons were exported via railroad.

In January-June, Ukrzaliznytsia decreased ferrous metals exports by 62.2% YoY, to 2.32 million tons.

From January to May, there was a trend of exports growing after a considerable fall at the end of 2022, but in June volumes started decreasing once more.

“The destruction of the Kakhovka HPP dam by the Russian terrorists has affected the operation of Nikopol, Zaporozhye and Kriviy Rih districts, resulting in a drop of ferrous metals shipments,” Ukrzaliznytsia reported.

Exports of iron and manganese ore in June went up by 3.8% MoM, but fell by 7.4% YoY, to 1.43 million tons, with 8.67 million tons exported over 6 months, down by 44.7%. (Ukrainian metal)
