In May, ArcelorMittal Berislav in the settlement of Arkhangelskoye in Kherson region resumed manufacture after a pause of more than a year.
“From March we started shipping the accumulated limestone from our warehouses. These raw materials are used by ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih sinter shop to produce sinter. Until the end of April, a complex demining of our territory was carried out and on May 1 we started extracting limestone in the quarry,” the company CEO Leonid Smolyarenko has said.
Since March, AMB has shipped almost 47 thousand tons of limestone to AMKR and extracted almost 20 thousand tons.
The pre-war sales amounted to 500 thousand tons per year.
This year, the company intends to sell around 200 thousand tons to AMKR. (Ukrainian metal)
