In January, Kazakhstan extracted 10.4 million tons of coal, up by 2.3% YoY.

The key regions – Pavlodar and Karaganda – accounted for 90.7% of the output. Pavlodar region extracted 6.6 million tons of coal, up by 5.3%, and Karaganda – 2.8 million tons, down by 4.9%.

In 2022, Kazakhstan produced 118 million tons of coal, up by 2% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
