Over 9 months of 2022, the project “Decreasing irrevocable losses of cutting fluid” saved Armenal $540 thousand by decreasing the fluid usage by 17%.
“Initially we planned to save 7.5%, but the CEO Arthur Zakaryan set a more ambitious goal – decreasing cutting fluid usage by 15% compared with 2021,” the manager of the project, manufacturing director Tigran Arustamyan has said.
The technique developed allowed decreasing the cutting fluid temperature at all rolling plants by 20% on average.
“With this technique we will work to reduce the fluid usage by 15% more this year,” he added. (Ukrainian metal)
