ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih intends to increase the loading of its capacities from the current 25% to 50% due to improvement of energy supplies in the first half of the year.
At present, the company operates only one blast furnace out of four, but with the improvement of energy supplies, it will resume operation of another one.
AMKR has started importing electricity following a recent decision of the government.
In 2022, the company produced 1.2 million tons of steel and 1.6 million tons of pig iron, down by 76.3% and by 71% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
