In October, Kazakhstan exported slightly over 2 million tons of coal valued at $54.9 million.
In September, the results were almost 3 million tons for $99.6 million.
European countries accounted for the drop. Thus, deliveries to Poland decreased from 173.9 thousand tons ($15.1 million) to 140.9 thousand tons ($13.3 million), to Romania – from 34.3 thousand tons ($1.7 million) to 6.7 thousand tons ($0.3 million), and to Switzerland – from 852.9 thousand tons ($15.1 million) to 170.3 million ($2.7 million).
Exports to Turkey fell from 299.5 thousand tons to 9.8 thousand tons and to India stopped altogether, while in September the country bought 30 thousand tons for $4.6 million.
Deliveries to Estonia went up from 2 thousand tons for $0.2 million to 70.5 thousand tons for $12 million.
In January-October, Kazakhstan exported 27.2 million tons of coal, up by 15.3% YoY. In monetary terms exports grew 2.1-fold, to $819.4 million. (Ukrainian metal)
