Metinvest Group has provided 3,000 bulletproof vests and 250 helmets to the National Guard in Zaporizhzhya region.
The armor plates have the defence class of 4+.
Each 10th bulletproof vest protecting Ukrainian defenders has been produced of Metinvest steel or bought by the company.
Since the start of the Russian invasion, the group has provided 150 thousand vests to the military.
“We have no problems with steel, as we produce it ourselves. As to the clothes for the vests, there are problems with their manufacture, but we are solving them. For example, we have received the inquiry for 3 thousand vests at the beginning of last week, and on December 9 everything was produced and provided,” Zaporizhstal CEO Oleksandr Mironenko has said.
