Since the start of the Russian invasion, Metinvest has channeled 2.1 billion UAH to support the army, civilians and its employees, including 1.4 billion for the military under the Steel Front initiative.
Metinvest has become one of the largest suppliers of special steel and protection means in Ukraine. Each tenth bulletproof vest in the Ukrainian army has been provided by Metinvest – altogether more than 150 thousand. Most of the plates for them were made of Metinvest special steel at the group enterprises.
The metallurgists have also developed protective structures for the military – mobile shelters. 29 shelters have already been sent to the frontline. Each month it is planned to produce and supply 30 such shelters. (Ukrainian metal)
