Krivoy Rog Iron Ore Industrial Complex continues operating during war and is developing manufacture, as well as carrying out important repairs.
“Our own way to adapt to the war began with holding concrete positions and choosing new priorities. Pledge of stable extraction is the construction of new horizons. Unlike many enterprises, which have stopped operation, we are trying to redistribute labor resources from other production processes,” the company chairman Sergey Novak has said.
He admitted that the situation was difficult due to the loss of the domestic consumption market, in particular Mariupol plants, and the suspension of operation at many metal companies.
The export of iron ore, on the other hand, is limited by the seaports blockade and the necessity to export grain to avert global hunger. (Ukrainian metal)
