ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has started producing anti-tank chains, which are also used in the construction of obstacles for wheeled transport means.
The chains are sent to strengthen Kriviy Rih defenses.
“In order not to let the enemy into the city, the fighters need not only large Czech hedgehogs. Smaller hedgehogs are efficient against wheeled transport means with people, fuel, as well as Grads and other wheeled vehicles. That’s an ideal way to break tires,” the company said.
To produce anti-tank chains, AMKR uses rebars.
“We have welded three large barrels, of 450 each. Then welded them with chains. Thus, we got 8 protection chains with the length of 15-20 meters,” a company employee said. “It’s a reliable defense. We unfurl them, the machine passes – and the tires are no more”. (Ukrainian metal)
