In January-October, Ukraine produced 8 million tons of 6% moisture coke, on par with the previous year level.
In October, output totaled 738 thousand tons, in September – 702 thousand tons, in August – 811 thousand tons and in July – 826 thousand tons.
By-product coke plants received 10.662 million tons of coking coals, down from 10.907 million tons last year. Domestic coals accounted for 2.999 million tons and imports – 7.663 million tons, including 4.862 million tons from Russia, 695.2 thousand tons from Kazakhstan, 28.5 thousand tons from Poland and the Czech Republic and 2.087 million tons from the USA and Canada.
In October, plants received 271 thousand tons of domestic coals and 728.3 thousand tons of imported, including 490.2 thousand tons from Russia, 14.3 thousand tons from Poland and the Czech Republic, 68 thousand tons from Kazakhstan and 155.8 thousand tons from the USA and Canada. (Ukrainian metal)
