Energomashspetsstal has successfully passed the inspection of billets for the nuclear reactor of the Akkuyu NPP block No. 3 (Turkey).
The inspection of three billets for the reactor body and the main circulating pump has been carried out in 4 days.
The billets will be shipped in late November. The batch will comprise two spheres with the weight of 14 tons each and a large-size shell with the weight of 125 tons, of which the reactor body will be produced.
The height of the shell is 5 meters, diameter – 4.7 meters and wall thickness – over 20 cm. The billet was made of an ingot weighing 415 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
