In January-August, Ukraine exported 2.17 million tons of pig iron, up by 6% YoY, valued at $1.13 billion, up by 93.7%.
The main customers were the USA (57.07% in monetary terms), Italy (20.38%) and Turkey (10.89%).
Imports amounted to 149 tons valued at $163 thousand.
In August, Ukraine exported 351.1 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 41.6%. In monetary terms exports have increased 2.9-fold, to $202.1 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
