The Zolotoye mine in Lugansk region has not been extracting coal since 2018 because of flooding of the main horizons by underground waters.

The flooding was caused by flow of water from flooded and abandoned mines on the territory occupied by Russian terrorists.

Thus, it was decided to shut down the mine.

Of 569 current employees 340 will remain to maintain the mine in the water-pumping mode and 72 will receive new jobs, while 157 are pensioners. (Ukrainian metal)
