In January-June, Ukraine increased export of ferrous scrap 13.7-fold YoY, to 230.97 thousand tons, including 84.63 thousand tons in June.
According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms exports have grown 19.2-fold, to $82.86 million.
Imports went up by 36.6%, to 12.55 thousand tons valued at $22.331 million, up 2.1-fold.
The main suppliers were Turkey (62.36% in monetary terms), Russia (30.73%) and the USA (1.82%), while the main customers were Turkey (97.05%), Germany (0.83%) and Lithuania (0.69%). (Ukrainian metal)
