In January-March, Ukraine produced 5.29 million tons of steel, down by 0.5% YoY.
Rolled metal manufacture grew by 1.4%, to 4.73 million tons, but pipes dropped by 3.7%, to 0.203 million tons.
Ukraine also produced 8.22 million tons of sinter, up by 4.6%, and 5.31 million tons of pig iron, up by 4.3%.
As of April 13, 17 out of 21 blast furnaces, 7 out of 8 open-hearth furnaces, 14 out of 16 converters, 5 out of 15 electric-arc furnaces and 15 out of 17 continuous cast machines were in operation. (Ukrainian metal)
