Energomashspetsstal has completed another stage of producing a bulk reactor shell for the Akkuya nuclear power plant energy unit No. 3.
The ingot weighing 415 tons was produced on March 2.
The shell will be produced in Q3. The net weight of the shell will be 119.55 tons, diameter – 4.6 m and height – 5.3 meters.
The corresponding agreement was signed in 2020. According to the document, EMSS has to produce 10 reactor body parts. So far 9 parts have already been produced and shipped to the customer. The shell is the last and the largest part. (Ukrainian metal)
