And we hope that it will facilitate further implementation of transparent and clear regulation rules in the mining industry. Moreover, it should help to decrease the bureaucratic pressure on businesses and stimulate the flow of investments into the Ukrainian economy. Already we can feel the positive results of the changes introduced in the legislative field over the past year. Recently, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has the approval of its mining production program for 2021. The program contains plans for the development of open pits and mining operations and the performance report for the last year. In 2020, the company managed to achieve high performance in ore mining. Besides that, the company hit the record in the production of iron ore concentrate – 10.7 million tons. We have also completed all preparation works so that to operate successfully not only shortly, but until the end of open pits capacities (over the next 25 years). The company designed a project to reconstruct and develop open pits No. 2-bis and No. 3. It will enable us to mine 30 million tons of iron ore per year until the end of the mining capacity. In parallel, the company focuses on the implementation of the necessary environmental projects to reduce the environmental impact”. (AMKR/Ukrainian metal)
