Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works has become a leader in environment pollution decrease.
“According to the sensors at the works, the dust pollution has decreased from 500 to 20 units, after the reconstruction of the exhaust system. We would like such sensors to be at all companies”, the minister of environment protection and natural resources Roman Abramovskiy has declared.
This year, some 100 million UAH were provided from the state budget to create a monitoring system, but the budget was reassessed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the funds were withdrawn. (Ukrainian metal)
