In January-September, Kazakhstan produced 1.6 million tons of ferroalloys, down by 0.6% YoY.
Ferrochrome accounted for 83.4% (1.4 million tons), ferrosilicomanganese – 5.5% (90.6 thousand tons) and ferrosilicochrome – 3.4% (56.5 thousand tons).
Pavlodar region produced 928.1 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 6.2%, while Aktyubinsk – 580.2 thousand tons, down by 2.8%.
The share of exports was 82.8% as opposed to 76.7% last year: 1.2 million tons valued at $1.1 billion, up by 7.5%, but down by 18.8% respectively.
CIS countries purchased 138.2 thousand tons of ferroalloys, up 2-fold, with Russia the main customer.
Other countries bought 1.1 million tons, up by 1.4%. China, Japan and the USA were the main buyers. (Ukrainian metal)
