In January, Russia imported 44.9 thousand tons of copper ore and concentrate, up by 7% MoM and by 11% YoY.

Price grew by 7%, to $1043 per ton.

Deliveries from Kazakhstan dropped by 19%, to 34.2 thousand tons, and the rest was supplied from Chile (10.7 thousand tons).

In 2019, Russia imported 482.7 thousand tons of copper ore, down by 23% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
