Two companies are mining coal in the region – Beringpromugol LLC and Ugolnaya Mine.
In 2 months Beringpromugol extracted 136.8 thousand tons of coal at the Fandyushkinskoye deposit, up 2.3-fold.
The second company decreased output by 85%, to 1.5 thousand tons.
In 2019, Chukotka mined 832.7 thousand tons of coal. (Ukrainian metal)
