Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant has shipped an NP1 traction machine to Evraz KGOK, which manages Kachkanarsky Mining and Processing Works.

The agreement to supply two machines was signed in October 2019.

The NP1 traction machines have been supplied to KGOK since 2004. They are replacing the outdated OPE1 machines, produced in 1969-2002. So far the enterprise is using 21 NP1s.

The NP1 machines allow Evraz KGOK taking trains of 11 dump-cars loaded with 1.3 thousand tons of rock out of deep quarries with complex landscape. One train could transport around 8 thousand tons of rock per day. (Ukrainian metal)
