In 2019 Uzbekistan increased coal imports by 21.8%, to 706.8 thousand tons, valued at $20.3 million, up by 25.5%.

The largest suppliers were Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, which increased sales by 29%, to 556.1 thousand tons, and by 7.1%, to 136.5 thousand tons respectively.

The price of Kyrgyz coal dropped from $26.06 to $25.78 per ton, while that of Kazakh grew from $31.91 to $39.26. (Ukrainian metal)
