In 2016-2019 coal mines decreased output more than 2-fold, while grants for each ton of coal grew almost 3.7-fold.
“State mines decreased coal output from 6.7 million tons in 2016 to 3.5 million tons in 2019. At the same time grants went up from 246 UAH per ton to 908 UAH”, the press-service of the Ministry of Energy and Environment Protection reported.
The ministry expects European mining to decrease in the short-term due to the drop in demand. (Ukrainian metal)
