In late January Ukrzaliznytsia sold 21 lots of metal scrap with the combined weight of 51.1 thousand tons valued at 215 million UAH.
12 lots mostly with metal shavings were ignored by the auction participants.
ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih bought 11.7 thousand tons of scrap for 48.5 million UAH, Metinvest-Resource – 17 thousand tons (761 million UAH), Dneprostal – 17.1 thousand tons (72.9 million UAH), Energosteel – 2.96 thousand tons (12.7 million UAH), Zaporozhmetlom – 1.96 thousand tons (8.4 million UAH) and Ecovtorresursy – 322.8 tons for 1.4 million UAH.
This year Ukrzaliznytsia intends to increase scrap sales via the ProZorro.Sales system 3-fold YoY, to 285 thousand tons. Last year the company sold 97.2 thousand tons of scrap valued at 597.2 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
