Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel expects its facilities at the Lipetsk site to raise steel production quarter-on-quarter in January-March to maintain year ago levels, the company said in a statement on February 12.
“We expect to increase steel manufacturing at the Lipetsk site to the level of the same period of the previous year as capital maintenance in the furnace and converter productions of NLMK were finished in the fourth quarter of 2019,” the company said.
NLMK produced 4.183 million tons of steel in January-March 2019, down by 3% YoY, while the output in October-December 2019 increased by 1% QoQ, to 3.778 million tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
