The government must pay attention to low consumption of metal products in Ukraine, Metinvest CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov declared.
According to him, in Ukraine steel consumption per capita is one of the lowest. In particular, it’s much lower than in neighboring Poland and Russia.
“The government should think on how to improve the domestic demand for metal products. Infrastructure projects and investment climate should be stimulated to attract new investors and construct new objects”, he noted.
He also believes it is wrong to increase tax burden of the mining and metal companies during crisis. (Ukrainian metal)
