Russia will keep 2020 coal production and exports at the level of 2019, Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky announced on the sidelines of a conference on December 17.

“I think it will be at the level of 2019, about 220 million tons,” he said referring to the amount of coal exports, adding that the production would also be at the same level in 2020 as in 2019.

The official also said he did not rule out growth of the two figures.

According to Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Russia is to produce 440 million tons and export 210 million tons of coal in 2019. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
