Thanks to the first stage of the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works hot-rolling mill-1700 reconstruction, Metinvest will increase its sales of sheets to 4 million tons.
“At present we produce 3.4-3.5 million tons of high-quality flat rolled metal, but now we will be able to produce 4 million tons”, Metinvest sales director Dmitriy Nikolayenko declared.
Hot-rolled coils will account for 2 million tons to be sold on external markets, and cold-rolled metal will account for 1 million tons. The output of galvanized metal and welded pipes will be slightly lower.
Hot-rolled coils are one of the main steel products. Their global sales reach 400 million tons, including 90 million tons of import. (Ukrainian metal)
