In August Russia imported 46.3 thousand tons of copper ore and concentrate, up by 16% MoM, but down by 45.4% YoY.

Deliveries from Kazakhstan grew by 44%, to 24.3 thousand tons, and the rest was imported from Chile.

In 8 months imports totaled 293 thousand tons, down by 32.8% YoY.

In monetary terms since the start of the year the imports have increased by 7%.

Import prices in August dropped by 13%, to $1205 per ton. In 2 months imported ore became $330 cheaper. (Ukrainian metal)
